Check out these cute photos of Talia that we did last week. Holy CUTENESS! Talia’s mom brought the cake for her to smash into, except she didn’t really smash it so much, but she did love the frosting! The high chair was actually Talia’s grandma’s when she was a baby and has since been recovered with an updated look.

Photographing children under 4 years old you never know what to expect. They can go from 0-60 in no time flat. On the plus side you can “usually” change their demeanor pretty quickly. Miss Maddy was a dream to work with, she was a perfect little angel. We rolled through her session with many outfits and her happy smile. The most time consuming part of the session is she is crawling at super speed and raced to see the camera and the lights and not sitting still for very long. A happy baby is a happy photographer and a very happy  parent. I will take that anyday. Take a look at  Miss Maddy, she is so stinking cute.

Such a fun session filled with giggles and laughter. Julian and Marcus were non stop entertainment for me and each other. They had a ball showing me their new bunny they got for Easter, their trucks, their bikes, and their backyard. Trying to get them in the same place for a mili-second was a hard task. Photographing them laughing and horsing around was easy. Both of them are little hams and had no problem being in front of the camera. I did have to bribe Marcus at the end of the session just to do a few more. Mom came out for the end of the session to get a couple of shots with their boys.  Check out these little rascals.

Working and photographing children is fun…for the most part. Sometimes, children just aren’t in the mood to be a supermodel. This is the case when Makena turned ONE! We actually photographed on her birthday and she was not a happy birthday girl for the camera. I am sure as soon as we were done she was happy as a clam. Anyways, we photographed round two the following week and she was happy as she could be and was so ready to be photographed. As you can see from the photos from the first session, she had on her pout pout face. We went indoors for the second session and she did fantastic. It’s been a huge blessing to photograph this family. Kammi and I actually photographed Makena’s parents destination wedding in Hawaii several years ago, and also Makena’s newborn session, and when she was about six months. To be apart of these families lives and document these milestones is why I love our job.

I have been talking to Emerson’s mother for a little while about setting up a session for their beautiful newest addition, Little Miss Emerson. Things had just got in the way where we could not schedule a session. We had a Destination Wedding in Georgia,  then our whole family got sick, and then Emerson broke out in a small rash. Finally I got to photograph Emerson last week and she is such a perfect little angel. Emerson has a playmate that is ready to play ball with her when she is ready. While waiting for Emerson to fall asleep for the session, I had a quick little mini session with her dog Wrigley. Such a cute dog, ready to play, and named after her parents love of sports. Even better that they are baseball fans. Check out Emerson and Wrigley’s photos.
